Please provide the following information with the application form:
A short paragraph from the student on why they would like to be a part of the Summit Program for high ability learners.
A short supporting statement from either the student's current year 6 teacher, or previous year 5 teacher, addressing their suitability for the Summit Program for high ability learners.
A copy of the student’s latest primary school report.
Diagnostic data reports (e.g. NAPLAN, PAT - Reading and Mathematics, HAST)
Students applying for the Summit Program are required to undertake the Gifted Student Ability Measure (GSAM) pen and paper test. The cost of the testing for applicants is subsidised by Unley High School however, families are required to pay $55.00 + 2% transaction fee (includes GST). This is to be paid on submission of this application.

Wednesday 2 September 2026, 9:00am - 1:00pm (approx.) at Unley High School: Students sit the GSAM written test at Unley High School. Parents/carers will be automatically emailed additional information regarding the testing including location, what to bring etc. upon submission of the application form. Please be advised parents/carers will not be able to enter the assessment room.

Wednesday 9 September 2026, 3:30pm – 5:00pm: Summit Program Interviews. Parents/carers will be emailed details of their child's scheduled interview closer to the date.
Parents/carers will also be notified the outcome of their child’s application by Friday 25 September 2026.
